Common Marble Problems
Etches, scratches, and dullness are common problems for marble countertops in kitchens and bathrooms. Our Peoria, IL clients had a beautiful red marble vanity countertop and a white carrara kitchen sink and countertop that were not looking nearly as elegant as when they were first installed.
Our Time-Tested Solution
We honed the marble to remove a very thin upper layer of the stone, virtually erasing signs of wear and damage and bringing out the rich, luxurious patina of the red marble, as you can see in the AFTER image. We polished the stone to achieve a high level of clarity and shine. The final step was to reseal the stone with an impregnating sealer. Both countertops look dramatically better now.
